Small family run Motel on outer edge of CBD with great hosts, some of the fastest wifi speeds in Queanbeyan/Canberra and well appointed rooms with great lighting and working area for business trips. I have stayed in Hamilton's on several occasions in excess of two weeks total duration and can compare it directly with at least four of their Queanbeyan competition having been contracted for 12 months in Canberra on a fly in basis. Small and quiet but great for business trips, Canberra area recreation and that all too important layover for the snowfields in winter. Heating and hot water is up to the task for the Canberra winter and you will be hard pressed to find a better host than Greg and his team.

Great value for money
Very clean and tidy
2 pillows each which is great
Nice and big bathroom
Provided adequate tea and coffee for 3 people
Hair dryer, iron, ironing board and extra blankets provided
We stayed for 2 nights and we were very happy with our stay. Great value for money, 25 minute drive to Civic and immaculate.

The hamilton Hotel is on the main road from Queanbeyan to Canberra BUT the rooms have double glazing so noise is no problem. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom was very big and roomy. Each room is basic for your needs but has what you need. The reception is run by Peter who was very helpful with locations of attractions and ideas of places to eat. The Queanbeyan Leagues Club has a bistro overlooking the water and has a large selection in the bistro. Canberra is a 10 minute drive. Visit the information centre on Lake Burley Griffin for a detailed list of attractions.
Another place to eat at night is Kingston waterfront. About 20 restaurants to select from. Visit the War memorial in the afternoon and stay for the closing ceremony at 4:45pm. We had push bikes and wanted to go shopping after we checked out. We were allowed to leave the bikes in the room until we returned some hours later thus ensuring they were safely locked away.

Stayed at Hamiltons 4 nights and it was a great stay. Sleep got better the longer I was there despite being located on main arterial road. Had a two seater couch so dont have to sit on bed all the time. Water pressure in shower solid so can have good shower. Always clean, good walk to local retail....highly recommend for business or personal stay. Staff excellent.

Maybe it isn’t the most luxurious hotel, but the room was clean, uncluttered and comfortable. There was no restaurant but they would still provide a full cooked breakfast and deliver it to your room.
What it lacked in luxury, it more than made up for in its friendliness and caring attitude towards its guests. I would be honoured to stay here again.

The accomodation was outstanding especially given this was one of the cheaper places to book.
The male attendant was friendly and very accomodating, even asking if we had eaten as he was aware we had had a long drive.
Could not fault it!
Thank you x

We had 2 adjoining rooms. It was clean and roomy. We found the owner very helpful. Had washing done for a reasonable price. Internet was variable, found the best place was near the door. It was quiet and beds were very comfortable. Good place to use as a base to explore Canberra.

The location is just nice. Able to drive down to nearly mall. The room is big and not to mention the toilet. Huge enough to play inside.
Smoking corner is just outside hence it is easy,
I am not sure if the room is good for family as I am staying over for the night.

My two teenage kids and I spent 2 nights at Hamiltons Townhouse Motel during the September school holidays.
The room was large and had a three seater couch and a table and chair set which we used a lot. The kitchenette was great, saved us having to go out for breakfast.
The room backed onto the main road, however; the noise was minimal and we all slept well.
Staff were polite and very accommodating. The check in and out was quick and easy.
Unfortunately the wifi was not available in the room during our stay as they were upgrading to NBN.
Would recommend this location for a night or two.

I recently spent two nights here for work purposes.
The motel is located a perfect distance for a stroll into town and my room was spacious, clean and well-lit.
Check-in was speedy, and completed by a very pleasant man. A bonus was the scrambled eggs (cooked in a frying pan, as opposed to microwave like so many places do these days), and delivered to my room both mornings at the requested time.
It was a really enjoyable stay and I will stay there again when I return.
