"Best place to stay in Canberra"

After a 5 hour drive, to be greeted by friendly smiles and helpfulness then to top it off the best room i've stayed in for years was a lovely suprise. I can understand why the place was full mid week, it's because it is run well, clean and comfy and quiet. Great price and i wish i could have stayed longer. Everything updated, they even have electric car chargers, even tho i'm petrol I was still impressed by this detail.

"Fantastic home away from home"

I can’t recommend this motel enough. I travel for work and stay here all the time. Super clean and tidy. Beds are very comfortable, with great sheets. Bathrooms are the best I’ve seen, clean and modern. Customer service is always with a smile and responsive. It’s also the little things, the windows open, a sink in the kitchenette (no washing up in the bathroom), quality toiletries, biscuits with tea and coffee, quiet air con, table and chairs, lounge (no sitting on the bed).

"My Second Home"

Ok I have just been at my SECOND home...Hamiltons Motel in Queanbeyan...now I must be honest when I travel further than ACT or Queanbeyan I stay at supposedly 5 star hotels like Meriton etc. but they are not a match for Hamiltons. This being a family run business is just the cream on the top. Nothing too much trouble...absolutely friendly efficient service...I do have to travel to Canberra quite regularly and so I stay at the best...HAMILTONS Queanbeyan Motel.

"More than impressed with Hamilton"

I was more than impressed with Hamilton, the room was large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Extra pillows and blankets supplied and super sized fluffy white towels. We ordered the continental breakfast which was delivered to our room with generous serves - and the nice surprise of a little chocolate each. It’s these thoughtful touches which make the difference. The hotel is located just outside the central business district which means it is quiet, but still within easy walk of shops. The staff were all polite and helpful. Will definitely recommend.

"Great Motel!"

One of the better motels we've stayed in. We had a ground floor queen room which was absolutely spotless, well appointed and had with a very comfortable bed. Everything worked and our room was made up daily. Originally, we were looking at other motels in Canberra itself but decided on Hamilton's based on price, reviews and proximity to the city. Other motels were more expensive and some were even charging overnight parking. Though this motel is on a main road we didn't hear the traffic at night. Hamilton's would be our first choice when visiting Canberra region again.

"Great hotel, Such a delight."

Great hotel. Such a delight. I was on the road side, and didn't hear any noise from traffic at all. Super clean, only a few things that I picked up from working in a 5 star hotel myself - but very minor and not anything most people would notice. Loved it, would 100% stay here again when in Canberra. For me was worth it to pay a bit more, and have this level. A really nice place to stay.

"Very comfy beds. Recently renovated."

We stayed in the triple family room. The room had recently been refurbished. Brand new bathroom. MASSIVE waterfall shower head (nice steady hot water too). The kids said the beds were so comfy, they wanted to stay longer. Family run business. Very friendly. Kitchenette was well stocked with good sized dinner plates, mugs, cutlery etc. Also, the toiletries were really nice. Moments to Manuka outer suburbs in ACT. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

"Thank you to the proprietors and staff"

The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating with good information on sites to visit. They did their absolute best to make sure our stay was good. We spent seven nights there and even though we left the room late in the morning each day, the cleaning staff still cleaned the room and left clean towels etc in the bathroom each day. Refreshing to return to a clean room each afternoon. We have stayed a numbers of times in Queanbeyan, this being our first time at this motel. We will make sure any future visits to this location to stay at the Hamilton. Thank you to the proprietors and staff for your wonderful service.

"Very clean, fresh and comfortable motel"

We had an overnight stay at this very clean, fresh and comfortable motel. It appears to be recently renovated, everything fresh and clean. Free parking was onsite and we felt safe and secure. The room was spacious - we had a queen + king single - and there was a lounge and table with chairs as well. The bathroom was bright, clean and spacious too. All linen appeared to be new and very fresh.

"We always very welcomed & feel at home"

My husband & I have stayed at the Hamilton's Queanbeyan Motel on quite a occasions when we visit from Albury to visit friends & family in Queanbeyan & Canberra. It has been very nicely renovated & updated. We always very welcomed & feel at home. Our room was beautiful kept and we were very comfortable and we always have the same room. As for a couple who couldn't have anything better. We will stay there again.

"Quiet comfortable stay with restaurants and shops "

Very quiet Good sound proofing We were next to a busy highway We did NOT hear any car noise Did not hear others staying at the hotel Was not just clean, was immaculate. Plenty of storage - clothes cupboard, drawers, kitchen cupboards and cupboards in bathroom as well Full size fridge in kitchenette Located in walking distance to center of town with shops, restaurants and grocery nearby.

"Delightful Motel"

I stayed for a week at this delightful motel. It has been refurbished with quality inclusions. It is super clean and nicely appointed. I felt very comfortable and safe (I was by myself). If I needed anything all I had to do was ask. I would like to thank Kay and her family for their friendly hospitality, care and kindness. "Host and Hostess went the extra mile"

Loved that the host and hostess went the extra mile to ensure we had a room suitable to our needs. Loved that the room was beautiful, sparkling clean and we had a full complement of crockery, cutlery, towels, facecloths and toiletries, etc., when so many places are skimping on these things. Hardly any traffic noise in spite of being on a main road, we slept through to 8:00 am. The air conditioner kept the room toasty all night through a polar cold snap. Will definitely stay here again.

"Stayed at this motel with family "

I stayed at this motel with family for one night and because I was so happy with my stay we decided to book multiple rooms the next weekend for a family gathering. All family members were happy with their rooms and the price. Other family members that chose to stay in other accommodation regretted not staying at the Hamilton because they thought the rooms were nicer and much better value for money. The staff were wonderful. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we were happy. I couldn't want anything more and I can't praise this place enough.

"Comfort and Value for Money"

The room was quiet, spacious with tasteful decor and recently refurbished. There was adequate on-site free parking. The bathroom was modern with a generous amount of cupboard space for toiletries. The shower had a large shower head and excellent water pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was well set up with plenty of cupboard space and a sink which is always a bonus. The best feature of the room was how spotlessly clean it was. The location of the motel is convenient and even though it is close to the intersection of a main road there was no noticeable traffic noise. The staff are very professional and welcoming. The rates are good with value for money. Would highly recommend a stay.

"Immaculate rooms"

We were surprised with how immaculate and well presented the rooms were. The beds, couches and dining chairs were all very comfy. The owners were so friendly, and I couldn’t hear anything from the other rooms in terms of noise. Bonus with having a smart TV (being able to use youtube and netflix). Other amenities were really useful (a great sized fridge, microwave and toaster). We had an extremely restful stay here. :)

"Best Motel in Queanbeyan"

Hamilton's has always been one of the best motels in Queanbeyan at and now that nearly all their rooms are fully refurbished it's an even better place to stay. Their rooms are larger than many motels and the inclusion of kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and tableware (induction cooktop, pots and pans, also available) makes the meal options more flexible. The recently refurbished Deluxe Twin Room room we stayed in is a delight in style and comfort, including lovely stone bench top in the kitchenette, elegant floor to ceiling tiles in the generous sized bathroom and well appointed sleeping and lounge area with very comfortable beds. There are a small number of un-refurbished rooms at the moment, and we recently also stayed in one of those. The un-refurbished room we stayed in was quite presentable and comfortable, and was also great value. I have been staying in Queanbeyan a lot over the summer and I've sampled quite a few accomodation options, Hamiltons has definitely been the best value for money and most comfortable place to stay. Hamiltons is the number choice for me in Queanbeyan.

"Great service"

I was privilege to be offered and to stay in one of the freshly renovated rooms, it was like new! They are very clean, tidy and impeccably serviced each day. I was greeted on my arrival by Kay, one of the owners. She was extremely helpful and it was good to see a smiling face after a long drive. I highly recommend Hamilton’s if you need to stay in the Queanbeyan area. It would have to be the best motel in the area. I would give it more. if I could.

"Fleeing the fires"

We stayed here last weekend and fleeing the fires in Narooma. When we arrived Jag, I'm assuming the owner, offered us a discounted rate due to the circumstances. We had our two year old with us and we're absolutely exhausted after spending the last week locked in Narooma with no way to leave. After arriving the owner ordered our pizza and went in his own vehical to pick up our pizza and under charged us for that as well because he could see we were at the end of ourselves and wanted to help. I can't speak highly enough of his genuine care and help he have us, it was like a going to a family members home. The room was clean and well equipped and the cleaners did a great job in the mornings. There was many choices of viewing from Stan, Netflix,YouTube and cable tv to watch. I've travelled extensively and stayed in all sorts of accom. I've never experienced this sort care before. Thank you guys for looking after us when we needed it. These are good people, support this business if you have the chance to.

"Clean comfortable friendly"

I have found Hamiltons to be the best place for me to stay while visiting the queanbeyan Canberra region.the staff are very kind friendly people who have been nothing but good to me are always willing help wherever they can.i have always found my room to be exceptionally clean upon arrival and they always provide me with fresh towels and whatever is needed during my stay. It is well situated a short drive to Canberra and not far from the main Street of queanbeyan.and a very short walk from a service station that has everything as well as a small supermarket for all your needs.the hot water and water pressure is very very good .I also feel very safe while staying there.the rooms are older in style but have everything I need for my stay and as I said before are always very clean which is most important for me.and I find them to be well priced.i will continue to stay there while I'm ever in the region.i always enjoy my stay . Hamiltons and the staff give me good reason not to recommend them. I recommend a stay here while ever your in the area.More

"A great surprise."

We didn’t know what to expect as the photo wasn’t great, wow, what a fabulous hotel. Greeted by lovely concierges. Warm reception by the staff. Beautiful decor. Huge room. Only downside no single beds for three. The restaurant was elegant with very professional service by the staff, the selection of meals amazing. Upstairs there is a superb spa for all of ones needs. Certainly top class for a very reasonable cost.

"So helpful"

Had the best motel manager ever at this place. Sooooo helpful while I was travelling solo with my one year old. He helped with luggage - both ways! Booked taxis, advised on traffic times, made sure I was awake for my flight, checked if I was happy with the cot (and offered to run to Kmart if I wasn’t!). Just awesome!!!

"Exceptional Service"

I booked a room for an employee as I have stayed there several times before. Without giving to much away in case it starts an avalanche! I asked for an out of the box business service and was blown away by the happy reception I received. I can’t recommend the new owners of the Hamilton’s enough. As noted in previous reviews the service is exceptional.
